Health Camp/First Aid Camp:

Every year First Aid Camp is organized during Ratha Yatra Festival at Puri. The camp remains operational for eight days i.e. from Ratha Yatra to Bahuda Yatra. Thousands of pilgrims are treated and medicines are distributed at free of cost. For this noble work the institute is in receipt of several citations from District Administration. During the festival, the service provided by Ambulance to carry the accident victims and patients to the Hospital is praiseworthy.

During Nabakalebar in the year 2015, the institute organized First Aid Camp in the places wherever the Darus (Wood) for new deities were noticed and the service provided by the students voluntarily was a commendable job.

 
 

Observation Days:

Republic Day, Independence Day, College Annual Day, National Nurses Day, World AIDS day, Ganesh Puja etc. are observed in college where students use to participate in various competitions like drawing, debate, cultural program etc.

Besides, every year the college organizes picnic during the last week of December in which the students, faculty and staff members take part.

 
 

Students Nurses Association (SNA) Unit :

AStudents Nurses Association (SNA) Unit under the Trained Nurses’ Association of India, SNA Unit of Manjari Devi College & School of Nursing is formed with 238 students members.

 
 

Ranger Team & Youth Red Cross Unit :

The Institute has already constituted the Ranger Team under Bharat Scouts and Guides, Odisha State & Youth Red Cross Unit under Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch.

 
 

Seminar/Workshop/Training Course/Faculty Development Programme attended by Students & Faculty Members:

  • Final year B.Sc. Nursing students attended Seminar on “New Dimension in Emergency Nursing” at MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur. The seminar was effective for students in gathering knowledge on emergency nursing.
  • Final year B.Sc. Nursing students participated 3-Day Training Course on “Health Care for all in Emergencies/Disaster” organized by Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar during 13th – 15th October, 2015.
  • A large number of students participated in “Gopabandhu Jyoti Parikrama-2016” on 8th & 9th November, 2016, organized by “The Samaja”.
  • Students participated in a Rally on “World Remembrance Day for Road Accident Victim” on 20th November, 2016, organized by Sankha Dhwani Rastha Surakhya Samiti, Bhubaneswar.
  • Teaching staff of College are encouraged to attend Workshop/Seminar/Faculty Deveolopment Programme in order to update their knowledge and skill relating to nursing practice and procedure.
  • Senior faculty members attended National Level Workshop on “Cancer Care” at Salem, Tamilnadu.
  • Dr. C. Revathi, Principal & Ms. Aparajita Goswami attended 1- day CME on “Neontal Care in Resource Restricted Areas” organized by Capital Hospital, Bhubanswar at Hotel Swosti Premium on 11th December, 2015.
  • Dr. C. Revathi, Principal attended workshop on “Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood illness” conducted by NRHM at Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
  • Presented article during Seminar held on Psychiatric Emergencies on “Suicide”
